Is the home refrigerator filter really good enough?

When we choose a refrigerator water filter, will there be entanglements in my refrigerator filter enough?

Is your refrigerator filter enough to produce clean and healthy drinking water for you and your family?

Of course, there is no simple answer, because the answer depends on the following:

The contaminant you want to remove

The quality of the refrigerator water filter

Limitations of the refrigerator water filter

If you want to remove as many contaminants as possible, including arsenic, fluoride, nitrates and nitrites, radon, selenium, and radon, most refrigerator filters do not remove these contaminants.

Why?

Because refrigerator filters only use carbon filters, carbon filters have limitations in removing contaminants. Therefore, if you want to remove contaminants to the maximum extent possible, you need to select a carbon filter with a reverse osmosis filter or a carbon filter that binds to other media. Although many carbon filters are very effective, the types of contaminants they can remove are limited.

The quality of the filters can also vary greatly. For example, some filters may only be certified to remove 6 or 7 contaminants, while others may be certified to remove more than 200 contaminants. You also need to be careful to reduce levels of contaminants. Again, there may be a big change. Some may reduce pollutants by only 50%, while others may reduce pollutants by 95%.

While it's nice to know that it can reduce lead and chlorine, the manufacturer didn't say how much. Also, you may wonder if it will reduce lead by 50% or 99%.

All in all, the refrigerator water filter may be useful to you depending on the contaminants you want to remove and the quality of the filter. But you have some work to do!
